This extension only took a few short minutes to bolt on, and one thickness of heavy paper was all it took to shim it to perfect flatness.

Nice Add on
I bought this item to replace the stamped steel wings that I had on my table saw. It is good, not great. As others have said, it does not end up being square to the table. Also, although it says that it has holes that align up with existing holes on the fence rails - they don't on my Delta contractor saw.

Great addition to my Delta Contractor Saw
I purchased a used Delta contractor saw recently. It is the platinum edition with the 30" unifence, and it was a great deal for a good intermediate saw, but even when new, it only came with the left cast iron wing. on the right is just a melamine table, and I wanted something more substantial being that most of the stock being cut would be on that side.
This is a great addition to my saw. It is a MUCH heavier casting than the left wing (deeper casting ridges, thicker casting, higher quality looking machining), and is even heavier duty than the main part of the table. It was easier to align with the table than the left side, and unlike the left wing, it allows for attaching an additional item further outside the saw: my melamine table, your old stamped steel wings, etc.
It was not perfectly flat or square, but I've never gotten anything cast that was square or flat (except from Starrett, and Lie Nielson). Two out of three bolt positions needed one beer can shim on the bottom, and the top is flatter than the whole rest of the saw (I don't yet have a dial indicator, so I can't say how far off it is). In summation, it's great, it made my saw better, and it was a decent price with free shipping on a 45lb item- it's all that I wanted, so I guess the one I got was better than the others negative reviews suggested.
